Ice skating!

Oh, the fun of ice skating! Well, four of us girls decided that we were going to go ice skating tonight. Before we went though, we made a trip to a really nice thrift store! It was sooo huge and everything was easy to find and look at, also....on top of every rack were shoes that were all color coordinated. Haha, rather nice if I do say so myself. Anyway, after we got to the ice rink, we discovered that we were just about the only ones there. There were only between 10-15 people there and most of the time time only 7 or so were skating. And.....nobody fell! Yay! Here are some pictures from the night.

We really did have a fun time and I can't wait to go again sometime soon.

GBS Picnic Fall 2009

Today was the GBS fall picnic. It was a very fun day. Tiring, but tons of fun. Here are some pics of the day.

Katrin stole my camera and took pics for me!

Thanks Katrin, you did a great job!

Despite the fact that it's really homework, it still looks pretty cool!

Ely
(the head poking out from behind is Andrew Glick!)

This is Yoshi. He is sooo cool! He's from Japan, but his family were missionaries to Mexico. It's so cool, cause he speaks Spanish with Ely and and then turns around and speaks Japanese with Grace! He also knows a couple phrases of French! So cool and a super sweet guy, plus he's in choir!

Miss. V. watching the game and praying no one else gets hurt! There were at least two major accidents. One guy tore a tendon in his knee while playing soccer, then two other guys both dove for the same softball and crashed heads together. Both were taken to the hospital, but I believe they were ok in the end.

Janeane was taking pictures too!

Tonya looking super cute in yellow!

Caroline.....being Caroline!

Last year I was in the Hollenbeck's D-Group on Wed. nights and these are their three kids. This one is Megan, the oldest.

And Zach Hallenbeck is the youngest!

The day was really fun, but rather tiring for the photographer! And....who actually does homework at the school picnic, especially when your books make such a great pillow?

Celebrating Grace's 21st Birthday

Today, we left GBS around noon, to go celebrate Grace's 21st birthday! The group consisted of Grace, Gloria (Grace's sister), Caroline (another girl from Korea), Ely and I. The first thing we did was set off for Snooty Fox (a thrift store, believe it or not!) in Erlanger, KY. Once we eventually got going in the right direction, we arrived and had a fun time looking around for bargains. We didn't find many good things there, so we continued on our journey down the road to yet another thrift store called the Walk-In-Closet. I thought this one was a little pricey, that is until I found the $1 section in the back! A real bless come true! ;-) Several bargains were found by the other girls, too! Then we set out for the Florence mall, and after getting a little turned around (again...) we arrived at the mall. We got slushies and continued shopping. At Forever 21, we found several wonderful things including flowers for our hair that matched our choir outfits, ear phones, and many other wonderful things. I'll have to remember this store in the future! Then we were off again to Deb, Claire's, Aeropostale and the great store which successfully kills every part of my nose every time I visit, Bath and Body Works! All-in-all we had a great time at the mall.

By this time, we were getting rather hungry so we headed for Cheddars! YUM! Nobody had ever been there before except me and they all ended up loving it and bringing home lots of left-overs (the portions aren't exactly small!).

After eating, we went putt-putting. It was a ton of fun, despite the boring course. Haha, it's alright though, cause none of them had ever been putt-putting before. Here are some more pictures showing the fun time we had!

Gloria and I ended up tying for the title of Putt-Putt champion!

After we finished our game we decided to head back to the school. We did get turned around (yes...again!) not once, but three times! Haha, oh well, we did make it back to campus not only in one piece, but also before curfew!

So, Happy Birthday Grace! Hope you had a wonderful day!

Yay for college!

Ahhh... back to the wonderfulness of college life. I've been sooo busy with school up till now that I haven't been able to update anything on here recently. But, alas, I am still among the living! This weekend is the last of the month-long campus connection weekends. Last Friday there was a talent night outside on the lawn. I hear it went over really well and lasted for around two hours! I only got in on the last few acts, because I was invited to Katrin Crater's 17th Birthday party. I had a ton of fun at her party, though. The evening consisted of; eating a really yummy mexican meal, going to Cheesecake factory for desert, shopping at the Kenwood mall (and learning that T stands for Tango! Haha), and then eating brownies and ice cream after we got back to the house. While I was eating my brownie and ice cream, Caroline and I were sitting on a footstool, so our heads just barely came up above the table. Well, I was talking to Katrin and all the sudden, a moth flew into my forehead, bounced off and landed smack dab in the middle of my ice cream! Haha! Needless to say, I got a new piece of brownie and ...... more ice cream! Yay!

So this weekend there are a bunch of competitions on Saturday, like; volleyball, basketball, corn hole, and ladder golf. I will not be taking part in the fun and games though, because Grace, Ely, Caroline Jeon, Gloria Ji and I are going out for the day to celebrate Grace's 21st Birthday. Her birthday was actually Sept. 4, but I went home that weekend and promised her that we'd celebrate it later. I will hopefully remember to take my camera so I can put pictures on here. Hmmm....we'll see!

Tonight we had prayer meeting outside on the south lawn (haha, not sure exactly if it was the north, south, east, or west lawn!) and it was awesome. It's so nice to be outside in the lovely fall weather, with a slight breeze keeping things cool. Ahhh....so you see, college is going good. I'm having fun and not doing homework quite all the time, only most of it! ;-) Well, I better get on to bed and take advantage of an early night!
