Homecoming 2009

Well, so far, this weekend has been rather exciting. It's Homecoming weekend here at GBS so there's been lots going on! Last night during the evening service, I had the opporunity to sing (er...lip sync) with the Martin Sister's. We lip sync'd to "Go and Tell Somebody," by the Kingsmen. We all wore grey skirts, black blazers and borrowed the guy's choir ties! It was soo fun! Emily Eavey was doing the bass, Leanna Martin - baritone, Me - lead, and Cheryl Martin (my RA) - was singing the tenor! We all did our hair in a crazy, poofy way, too! It was great and here's a short video of the beginning of our song! The last part only got better, but hey, it's way better than nothing! Enjoy!

Then this afternoon there was a carnival type thing with booths all around the fountain. This included the ministerial pie table, the sophomore face painting booth, the food booth, corn hole, ladder golf and a dunk tank! I was really surprised to see my great Uncle, David Reynolds get dunked in the dunk tank! He seemed to enjoy it!

Then this evening, a huge group went ice skating. It was tons of fun. I'm getting sick, so I got tired and achy rather often, however I still had tons of fun. I also got lots of pictures, which I will post when I have more time. Hope you enjoy the little update. Check back soon for more pictures! And also, I've been updating some earlier posts this weekend too. Check out July for a pretty cool fireworks video! Ok, I'm going to get some sleep now. :-)

Haha, do I really look like the real lead singer? That's funny. I think the crowd did enjoy it, especially when emily did the bass part, complete with holding her ear! Then Cheryl ripped into the second verse with the high tenor and it ended up being super funny!

I'm trying not to get too sick. I think the Vitamins are helping. And any excuse for more sleep is wonderful! ;-)
